TV news anchors quit on air, allege media bias
Bangor – A pair of TV news anchors, Tony Consiglio and Cindy Michaels, quit their jobs live on the air at the end of their broadcast.
The interesting part of this news story is that they say they “Were expected to do somewhat unbalanced news, politically, in general.” in an interview with the Bangor Daily News.
This is something that undoubtedly happens all across America in various capacities and at all types of Media. So many people are so passionate about politics and other issues. Do you really think they can turn a blind eye to their beliefs and not leave an impression on the work they produce? These brave people stood up for what they believed in and unfortunately they are in the minority. Most people either go along with the bias because they believe it themselves, or they know they can’t advance their careers without going down the same path. And yet others do not want to put their jobs at risk because at the end of the day, you are supposed to do what your boss tells you!
