News Mainstream Media Disregards
- MSM – Mainstream Media Ignores Horrific Abortion Trial
April 15, 2013
The Mainstream Media has a history of ignoring stories and downplaying them by using their "Journalistic Judgement" by simply not reporting on the issue or making it a much smaller deal than it really is. This is a prime example of Media Bias and if you look at a history of news events that have occured, events that can be considered "bad for the left" are not given as much coverage and not critically addressed. Whenever there is any issue that can potentially make the right look silly, they are portrayed as total iditos (Think Dan Quayle Potato, George W. Bush and his many quotes and Marco Runio taking a drink of water).
- CO Democrat Congresswoman ‘You’d Probably Be Dead Anyway’
April 8, 2013
Congresswoman DeGette of Colorado recently addressed the issue of Gun Control A senior citizen asked a question about someone breaking into their home and DeGette said that the police department would be there within minutes and also quipped "You'd probably be dead anyway if they had that kind of firepower". Imagine if this had been a Republican that had made a comment similar to this. It would be on every major news network. And also to interpret what she said, if someone with a gun breaks into your house, call someone with guns to come protect you and wait for them.
- Major Networks Don’t Report Obama Giving Up on Closing Guantanamo
February 1, 2013
The State Department stated on Monday that it will close the office dedicated to shutting down Guantanamo Bay. Normally people are called out when they don't fulfill their promises.
- Joe Biden says “Get yourself a shotgun!”
January 27, 2013
Joe Biden is a genius! He is on video actually telling people to get a double barreled shotgun for home defense and that they should get a bunch of shotgun shells. The media is so forgiving to Democrats. George Bush is made to look unintelligent as was Dan Quayle and this guy consistently makes missteps which are ignored. This is perfect example of media bias.
- Gun Control March in Washington
January 27, 2013
There have been pro gun rallies going on as well but they have not gotten much coverage.
- Outdoor Show boycott causes them to cancel show because of assault weapons sales ban
January 24, 2013
The boycott happened because the show refused to allow assault weapons to be sold, and it caused such an adverse effect that they are cancelling the whole show for that week.
- Woman attacked as she pushed her infant son in a stroller at Bed Bath & Beyond in New Jersey
January 18, 2013
You probably didn't hear about this news story since it was a knife that was used and not a gun. Do you think you would have heard about this story if it would have been a gun that would have been used? The media has been pushing any and all gun related violence stories as of late and putting them front and center in their publications.
- 72% of Casualties in Afghanistan have occurred during Obama’s Presidency
January 14, 2013
This is a huge and blatant example of Media Bias that everyone should be able to recognize. When George Bush was president, the media made a HUGE deal about the occurrence of the 1,000th death in Iraq. He was painted in a VERY negative light. Obama has been the sitting president while the 1,000th and the 2,000th deaths have occurred in Afghanistan, and I bet you don't recall hearing anything about this even though he has had plenty of time to pull out the troops there. 72% of U.S. Afghan war deaths have occurred under Obama.
- Al Gore is now more rich than Mitt Romney
January 10, 2013
This will be a perfect example of Media Bias to follow and use as an example. Mitt Romney was vilified in the media for his success and the amount of money that he had. We can pretty much guarantee that the same fate won't happen to Al Gore in the mainstream media.
- New York Journal publishes addresses of gun owners, then hires armed security to protect it’s employees
January 4, 2013
This is the third article we have posted in regards to this situation. First the New York Journal published a map showing who had gun permits and there was outrage from people as all of a sudden the criminals knew who had guns. There were also people in hiding who had their information exposed. Then a blogger published the names and addresses of all of the employees. Now the newspaper has hired armed security. Hypocrisy candidate of the year for 2013.
- OPEC collects over US$1 Trillion in 2012…prices higher than during 70′s oil crisis inflation adjusted!
December 30, 2012
The media likes to point out oil companies record profits even though their profit margins are in line with other industries. They are just larger companies due to the fact the world needs so much oil. The Saudi oil minsiter, Ali Naimi, says they are aiming to keep the oild prices in the $100 plus range. Why does this not get widespread attention? People should be outraged. In just 10 years OPEC has increased it's revenues 5 fold from 200 Billion to over a Trillion USD.
- Blogger turns tables on gun map paper
December 27, 2012
Good for him. This newspaper was ridiculous.
- Most Deadly School Massacre in USA did not involve firearms
December 23, 2012

- 75% of NFL players are gun owners according to USA Today
December 11, 2012
Three in four NFL players are gun owners according to USA Today. There are not that many gun incidents involving NFL players, but when one does occur, people such as Bob Costas and Jason Whitlock demonstrate media bias by using their stage to promote their views. Many argue that gun control laws wouldn't have prevented the KC tragedy.

- USA Today – Media Silence – Media Bias exists in how news is covered and also by the choice of stories covered
April 17, 2013
Another opinion piece in a major newspaper on the issue of Media Bias in relation to the Kermit Gossnell murder trial. Glenn Harlan Reynolds is a professor at the University of Tennessee and wrote this piece. He mentions that media bias isn't just about how the outlet portrays the story, but also in the selection of which stories to cover.
- Opinion – Media finally covers Kermit Gosnell Trial
April 17, 2013
Another opinion piece on the media and their coverage of the Kermit Gosnell trial. Dan Gainor wrote an opinion piece for Fox News and he points out how the media is now coming up with excuses for not covering the trial and how they couldn't possibly have a liberal bias. The lead graphic on the article shows a scorecard of media coverage of the trial. The graphic has NBC, MSNBC, ABC, and CBS at 0 and CNN with 1. We are very happy that the issue of Media Bias is being put front and center and that the average newsreader is being made more aware that this really is an issue and at times like this, it's very obvious.
- WSJ – Journalists are awfully liberal, Arendt they?
April 17, 2013
A Wall Street Journal opinion piece that discusses liberal media bias amongst the media. They specifically reference the New York Times and the amount of coverage they have given to the murder trial of abortionist Kermit Gosnell. They point out the lack of coverage on the topic from NYT and the fact they put it on page A12. They also use the title "Online Furor Draws Press to Abortion Doctor's Trial."
- Opinion: Media Bias Is Beyond Doubt – Baltimore Sun
March 19, 2013
Richard Vatz teaches a course called "Media Criticism" at Towson University which covers the topic of Media Bias. He brings up some very valid points and observations in his piece. There does exist bias on the right, but a majority of it is on the left. The number of newspapers, magazines, and tv programs with liberal bias far outweigh the ones with a conservative bias.

- 14 Theories Why Kermit Gosnell’s Trial Didn’t Get More Media Attention
April 17, 2013
An article from The Atlantic about the Kermit Gosnell case where he allegedly murdered babies and mistreated his women patients. This is clearly an example of media bias as this story is newsworthy by "any reasonable standard" says Conor Friedersdorf. He makes a compelling case for Media Bias and this is definitely a clear example of "Bias by Omission". The only reason it is being covered is because the media was called out for not covering it.
- Media Bias allegations at Disney shareholder meeting over ABC and ESPN
March 8, 2013
Justin Danhof was speaking on behalf of the National Center for Public Policy Research and brought up multiple allegations of media bias to Disney CEO, Bob Iger during their recent shareholder meeting.
- USA has ‘Infinite Amount of Money’ says Mayor Bloomberg
March 5, 2013
Mayor Bloomberg of New York City recently said the United States could owe "an infinite amount of money" and that there was not a specific amount that would cause the country to default. His reasoning that it's not comparable to household economics is because in your household "nobody is going to lend you an infinite amount of money". Is he trying to say we should borrow just because people will allow us to? Media Bias Theory says that the mainstream media won't repeat Mr. Bloomberg's ignorant statements.
- Joe Biden “just fire the shotgun through the door” #bidenguntips
March 4, 2013
Joe Biden is amazing. He recently told Field and Stream magazine that most people "Can handle a shotgun a hell of a lot better than they can a semi-automatic weapon." during a recent interview. He also gave the advice of "just fire the shotgun through the door". Now this brings up the obvious. Why isn't this getting any press? If a Republican said something like this, not only would the mainstream media be all over this, but also the entire liberal blog world as well.
- ABC, CBS, NBC have Double Standard for Labeling Politicians in Scandals
February 23, 2013
This is a very obvious sign of Media Bias that you can easily see yourself. If you watch the news that involves a scandal involving a Republican or a Democrat, notice that when a Republican involved, they almost always include that piece of information. When a Democrat is involved, they tend to leave out the fact that they are a Democrat. They will say things such as "Senator Menendez" This article has the statistics.
- Chicago reporters mock Senator Marco Rubio, trash ‘white male’ GOP
February 21, 2013
Opinion Journalism hits the nail right on the head and is one of the main types of media bias. News reporters are to report facts and are supposed to keep an open mind but yet the issue keeps getting worse and worse. These are reporters who are supposed to be objective and this clearly shows where their opinions lie and that they don't hide them.

- Liberal Media Praises Obama SOTU and mocks Rubio’s water break
February 14, 2013
Once again the media praises Obama who is a Democrat, but does everything in its power to make a Republican look foolish. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) reached and took a drink of water and he is being lambasted by news networks. This goes along the same lines as Dan Quayle misspelling Potato and the many "Bushisms" that the media would always remind the American Public of. This goes a step further as it is just a drink of water and many people drink water during speeches.

January 18, 2013
- Media quiet about theater shooting in Texas
December 29, 2012
Even though this theater shooting happened right after the Newtown shooting, this did not get much attention as the media has been pushing their gun legislation coverage. The reason it was ignored is because the gunman was stopped by someone who was armed. Even though this would have been a perfect example of presenting both sides of an issue, we know the media doesn't like to do that.

This had coincided with a program that had been run by CCTV bashing Apple.
